Privacy Policy

The short version

This policy explains what data Scam-Less ("we", "us", "the service") handles when you use our website and app, and your rights over it. It is written to be read, not to hide things in legal language.

What we process when you check a message

When you paste a message and ask us to check it, the text is sent over an encrypted connection to our analysis service to assess whether it appears to be a scam. This text is processed only to generate your result. It is not stored, logged, or kept after the result is returned to you.

What we do not do

The app: spam call blocking

If you use the Scam-Less mobile app and choose to set it as your caller ID and spam app, it uses your phone's built-in call screening to reject calls your network has flagged as spam. This happens entirely on your device. We do not receive, see, or store your call history.

Analysis provider

The text you submit for checking is processed by a trusted third-party AI provider solely to return a scam assessment. It is sent securely, used only to produce your result, is not used to train their models, and is not retained.

Anonymous, aggregate information

We may record anonymous, aggregate information — such as the total number of messages checked or the proportion found to be scams — to understand how well the service works and to show the overall impact of Scam-Less. This information is never linked to you or to the content of any message.

Basic website analytics

Our website may use privacy-respecting analytics to count visits and understand which pages are useful. This does not identify you personally. If we use cookies for this, we will ask for your consent first where required.

Feedback you send us

If you contact us or send feedback, we will use the information you provide (such as your message and, if you give it, your email) only to respond and improve the service. We will not use it for marketing without your permission.

Children

Scam-Less is intended for adults and is not directed at children under 13.

Your rights

Because we don't store the content of your messages or hold an account for you, there is very little personal data for us to hold. Where we do hold something you've sent us (such as a feedback email), you have the right to ask us what we hold, to correct it, or to have it deleted. Contact us using the details below.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version will always be available at this address, with the "last updated" date at the top.
