In short

• Scam-Less checks emails and invoices you forward and tells you how risky they look and what to do next.
• It’s a strong second opinion, not a guarantee. Before paying any new or changed bank details, still ring the supplier on a number you already have.
• 30 days free with no card. After that, pay monthly or yearly, or simply stop. Cancel any time.
• We don’t keep the emails you forward. Exactly what happens to them.

What Scam-Less does

Scam-Less (“we”) is run by Ben Saurin in Drogheda, Co. Louth, Ireland. When you or your colleagues forward an email or invoice to check@scam-less.com, or send one to our API, we check it for signs of fraud, such as a look-alike sender, replies going somewhere else, a new or unusual bank account, or an edited PDF. We reply with a risk assessment and a recommended next step, for example to pay as normal, to check with the supplier first, or to hold the payment.

These terms apply to the firm (“you”) that signs up, and to everyone at your firm who uses it.

Not a guarantee

No check catches every scam. Fraudsters change tactics, and a genuine email can sometimes look suspicious. Our answer is based on what the email shows us at the time, and it is advice, not an instruction or a promise that a payment is safe.

You stay responsible for your payments. Keep your normal controls in place: confirm any new or changed bank details by phoning the supplier on a number you already have (never one from the email), and keep your bank’s payee check switched on. Free trial

Your firm gets 30 days free from the day you sign up, with no card needed. Nothing is charged when the trial ends. If you haven’t chosen a plan by then, forwarded emails stop being checked and we reply to say so. We email you a week before the end.

Plans and billing

Plans are billed in advance, monthly or yearly, in euro or sterling, through our payment provider Stripe. Prices are shown on the pricing section and exclude VAT, which is added where it applies. Solo, for example, is €99 or £89 a month.

Firms that signed up before 31 December 2026 get half price for their first 12 months of a paid plan, applied automatically at checkout. After that the normal price applies.

Each plan includes a number of checks a month. If you reach it, we tell you and you can move up a plan; checks pause until the next month or until you upgrade. We will give you at least 30 days’ notice by email before any price change applies to you.

Cancelling

Cancel any time from the Billing tab in your dashboard. You keep your plan until the end of the month or year you’ve paid for, and you aren’t charged again. We don’t refund part-used periods, except where the law says we must. There is nothing to uninstall: your team simply stops forwarding.

Using it properly

• Only forward emails you’re allowed to share for this purpose, for example ones your firm received.
• Don’t use Scam-Less to test, build or improve scams, to overload it, or to get around its limits.
• Keep your dashboard password to yourself. You’re responsible for the colleagues you add and what they do in your account.
• We may pause an account that breaks these rules, and we’ll tell you why.

Your data

We handle the emails you forward on your behalf, as your processor, and we keep the verdict, never the content. The full detail, including which companies help us and where, is on the privacy and security page and in our privacy policy. We will sign a data processing agreement with you on request: email ben@scam-less.com.

When a forwarded email contains a scammer’s details, such as a fake website, phone number or bank account, we may add those details (never yours) to our scam database to protect others.

Our liability

We provide Scam-Less with reasonable care and skill. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for any payment you make or don’t make, or for indirect losses such as lost profit, lost business or lost data, and our total liability to you in any 12 months is limited to the fees you paid us in that period, or €100 if you haven’t paid anything.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited, such as for fraud.

Availability and changes

We work to keep Scam-Less running and fast, but we can’t promise it will never be unavailable. If a check can’t be completed, we tell you rather than guess.

We may update these terms as the service grows. If a change matters to you, we’ll email you at least 30 days before it applies, and you can cancel before then.

Law and contact
